Special Education

Caledonia Community Schools, in cooperation with Kent Intermediate School District, provides a continuum of special education programs and services to students from birth to age 26 who are eligible under the Individual with Disabilities Education Act.  These programs and services include early childhood services, resource programs, categorical classrooms, as well as services such as speech and language therapy, occupational therapy, physical therapy, school social work, and teacher consultative services.  In addition, our special education department is comprised of special education teachers, school psychologists, school social workers, physical therapists, occupational therapists, vision consultants, hearing consultants, paraprofessionals, speech and language therapists, teacher consultants and the director of special education
