JR FLL (First Lego League)
The Caledonia Jr First Lego League Robotics program is for students in grades 2-3. Teams meet from September-November researching real-world problems and creating motorized Lego models, a "Show Me" poster that introduces their team and demonstrates what they learned. They present this at the annual Expo, held in conjunction with our Robotics Open House. VEX IQ
The Caledonia VEX Robotics program is for students in grades 4-6. Teams of 5-8 students meet from August-January constructing programming a VEX IQ Robot, while maintaining an Engineering Notebook, in preparation for Regional Competitions. MS VEX Robotics
The Middle School VEX League Robotics program is for students in grades 7-8. Teams of 3-4 students meet from August-January at Kraft Meadows Middle School, constructing and programming a VEX Robot. Teams compete in matches against other teams in both League and Tournament play, in addition to participating in Skills competitions. HS VEX Robotics
The High School VEX League Robotics program is for students in grades 9-12. Teams of 3-4 students meet from August-February at Caledonia High School, constructing and programming a VEX Robot. Teams compete in matches against other teams in both League and Tournament play, in addition to participating in Skills competitions.
