Advanced Placement Success
Caledonia High School AP students continue to outperform at the state and national levels.
AP Government Highlights (2024):
AP Program Growth:
This growth represents both academic excellence and tangible college savings for families. CHS students are stepping up to the challenge and achieving impressive results.
At Caledonia High School, we believe that every student is capable of high achievement. Our instruction is guided by Michigan Academic Standards, informed by data, and delivered with the goal of preparing students for success in college, careers, and life beyond high school.
Teachers at CHS collaborate in Professional Learning Communities (PLCs), where they review student learning data, refine instruction, and ensure high expectations across all classrooms. Our commitment to continuous improvement means that each department regularly evaluates curriculum and instructional practices to stay aligned with the evolving needs of students and post-secondary expectations.
We also recognize that academic success requires support. CHS offers a variety of academic support services both during and outside of the school day, including:
Whether students are looking to extend their learning or need extra help, Caledonia High School provides a structured, supportive environment to help every learner thrive.
Congratulations to Caledonia High School senior Peter Paarlberg for being named a National Merit Commended Student! As one of approximately 34,000 Commended Students, he will represent less than 2% of the Class of 2025 nationwide. Although he will not continue in the 2025 competition for the National Merit Scholarship awards, Commended Students are placed among the top 50,000 students who entered the competition.
Excellent work! Way to go, Peter!
At Caledonia High School, academics are the foundation of our mission. We are committed to helping every student discover their strengths, build knowledge, and prepare for college, careers, and lifelong learning. Whether pursuing Advanced Placement courses, exploring career pathways, or developing real-world skills, CHS students are challenged and supported every step of the way.
