Student Support Services

Welcome to DLMS Student Support Services!

Our Mission: The mission of the Duncan Lake Middle School Student Services Department is to provide a continuum of support services that positively impact the development of the whole child through the school, family, and community.

SCHOOL COUNSELORS

Bari Kane: Last names that start with A-K

Andrew Fitzpatrick: Last names that start with L-Z

School counseling services are available to every student in our school. Counselors are available to help with school and personal concerns. Each counselor is fully certified and trained with at least a master’s degree in Professional School Counseling. To see a counselor, a student may fill out this request form or email their counselor.

In addition, a student may be referred by a staff member to a school counselor for academic or social-emotional supports. School counseling is short-term in nature and if there is an indication that more intensive counseling would be helpful, the school counselor may assist families with outside resources if the family chooses to pursue that option.

ACADEMIC SUPPORT

Academic support is available for students who demonstrate a need in the classroom and through our school-wide iReady testing. If you believe your child would benefit from added support, please reach out to their teacher or counselor to determine the next steps.
