CHS Preparing Students for Life!

Curriculum and instruction is our core purpose and function.  We take great pride in offering a rigorous educational program that will prepare students for college and career.  Our classrooms are learning labs for our students as they seek to define their gifts and talents.   

CHS offers "Advanced Placement" opportunities in Art, Biology, Calculus, Chemistry, Computer Science, English Language, English Literature, Physics, Statistics, US Government and U.S. History.  Students interested in career development opportunities may choose one of the trade programs offered by Kent Career Technical Center. 

The CHS music department  is strong here at CHS featuring a full orchestra, several choral ensembles, jazz band, concert, symphonic  and marching band opportunities. In addition, we provide several opportunities to empower students to develop leadership skills outside the classroom in AMBY, FFA, Legion, NHS, Student Council and CHS Players, our theater program, which performs both a phenomenal major drama production and musical production each year.
