- Free, full-day PreK options (Administered by Caledonia Community Schools)
- Offered at each elementary school, with overflow space at the Duncan Lake Early Childhood Center (DLECC)
- Tuition-based half-day PreK options
- Offered at Duncan Lake Early Childhood Center
- Three half days, tuition billed monthly ($252/Month)
- Other options may be available based on interest

- Tuition-based half day
- Three half days, tuition billed monthly ($252/Month)
- Two half days, tuition billed monthly ($168/Month)
- Offered exclusively at the Duncan Lake Early Childhood Center (DLECC)
Little Scots (Children Under 3)
(Enrollment eligibility begins when a student turns 2 years, 9 months old)
Little Scots Playgroup
- Tuition-based playgroup
- Entry-level early learning experience
Transportation Information
Transportation is provided for PreK programs located at elementary schools.
All tuition based programs at DLECC are designed as family drop-off and pick-up programs.
Enrollment Information
To enroll in CCS PreK, Preschool, or Little Scots, please continue below to begin the enrollment process through Caledonia Community Schools.
Families will receive additional information regarding placement, schedules, and next steps after submitting an application.
Step 1 - Submit DLECC Preschool Application
Who Can Enroll?
- Students that will be 3 after 9/1 or turn 2.9 years during the current school year (Little Scots)
- Students that will be 3 years old by September 30th (Preschool)
- Students that will be 4 years old by September 30th (PreK)
Enrollment for the 2026-2027 Year
2026-27 School Year- Returning families can enroll starting January 5, 2026, at 12 PM, and new families can enroll starting February 1, 2026, at 12 AM.
What information do I need to collect before I start the application?
The initial application can be completed online without any attachments or documents. The application will ask you to rank your preferred program placement and enter your contact information. Simple & quick! The online application will save your spot in line for registration.

Students wishing to enroll mid-year, can use the application below.
2025-26 Tuition Preschool Enrollment Application
Step 2 - Fill out ONLINE Forms(When Notified)
After submitting your application, no further action is required at this time.
Caledonia Community Schools will reach out to families closer to February 2 with an email containing additional online forms needed to complete the registration process. This application begins the registration process but does not confirm final enrollment.
CCS will also share more information at that time regarding program placement, class sections, and schedules, as details become available.
Step 3 - Pay Enrollment Fee (Tuition-Based Only)
If there is an immediate opening available, an invoice for the enrollment fee will be added to your Brightwheel account.
- $75 New Student Enrollment Fee
- $100 Family Enrollment Fee ( 2+ sibling enrollment)
- $25 Returning Student Fee
Step 4 - Complete Health Appraisal
Health Appraisal
Before the first day of school, all students are required to submit a Health Appraisal (signed by the physician and parent, appraisal exam needs to be completed within 12 months prior to the start of school).
Congratulations! You are Now Enrolled
Completed Enrollment & Start Date
Within 5-7 business days you will receive a confirmation email with instructions to secure your spot on either a classroom roster or on a waitlist.
The enrollment fee is $75/student ($25 for returning students) or $100/family. An invoice will be posted in your family's Brightwheel account and the payment will be processed online. We will only collect an enrollment fee if we can offer you a confirmed spot on the roster. If the class you selected is full, you are welcome to join the waitlist at no charge. If an opening becomes available, then we will contact you to collect your enrollment fee to confirm your spot.
Tuition Payments
9 monthly payments are due the 1st of every month, from September to May. Please remember to register for autopay by August 15.
