Skate the Break - Winter Skating Camp
Winter Skating Camp at Patterson Ice Center
The Greater Grand Rapids Figure Skating Club is hosting a two-day Winter Skating Camp at Patterson Ice Center on December 22 and 23 from 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. This Olympic-themed camp is a great way for students to “skate the break” and stay active over winter vacation.
Recommended for ages 5–11 (but open to all ages), the camp includes skate rental, skating skills instruction, crafts, games, and a snack. Families may register for one day or receive a discount for attending both days.

Caledonia Community Schools is expanding early learning opportunities for the 2026–2027 school year to better support our youngest learners and their families.
Updates include greater access to Young Fives with a section at each elementary school, expanded free, full-day PreK (4-year-old) options, continued tuition-based preschool programming for 3- and 4-year-olds at the Duncan Lake Early Childhood Center, and Little Scots Playgroup for children under age 3.

Families are invited to attend the Preschool & Early Learning Expo to explore the outstanding early learning opportunities available through Caledonia Community Schools!
Members of our CCS team will be present to provide information about our broad range of early childhood programs, including Young Fives, PreK, Preschool, and Little Scots.
Cal Baseball Wiffle Ball Tournament Fundraiser
Join us for a fun and fast-paced Wiffle Ball Tournament supporting the Caledonia baseball program! The event will take place on Saturday, January 3rd, 2025, from 11:00 AM – 2:30 PM at Dinks & Dingers, located at 5080 Broadmoor Ave SE in Grand Rapids.
The tournament is open to students in grades 6–8, and space is limited to the first 10 teams to register and submit payment. Teams consist of four players and the cost is $120 per team. Each team is guaranteed two 15-minute games, and exact start times will be shared with teams by December 30.
In addition to team registration, 10% of all food purchased during the event will benefit the Caledonia baseball program. Parents are welcome to stay and enjoy the restaurant onsite.
The registration deadline is December 28, 2025.
