Raising AI-Ready Kids: A Practical Session for Parents

The Caledonia Area Chamber of Commerce is proud to host its 16th Annual Tee Up for Scholarships Golf Outing on Friday, July 31, 2026, at Saskatoon Golf Club in Alto. This annual event brings together local businesses, community members, and supporters for a fun day on the course while raising funds for scholarships that support local students.

Designed for golfers of all skill levels, the outing features both competitive and fun course events throughout the day, along with sponsorship opportunities for businesses looking to support the event and connect with the community.

The Green Lake Association is hosting its annual Boating Safety class for those 12+ years old (or turning 12 this summer) on Saturday, May 30th, from 8 am to 3 pm at the Green Lake Calvary Church gym.  If you would like to attend, you need to register online before the class by visiting our Association website (www.greenlake.us). On the home page, you will find a link that redirects you to the DNR registration page. The class is limited to 50 people.

The class is FREE and is taught by the Allegan County Sheriff's Dept.  All attendees should plan to bring a #2 pencil and lunch.  A morning snack and a bottle of water will be provided by the Association.

Students in grades 2–12 have the opportunity to explore robotics through hands-on teamwork, problem-solving, engineering, and competition with our VEX GO, VEX IQ, and VEX V5 programs. Teams work together to design, build, and program robots while developing collaboration and critical thinking skills in a fun and engaging environment.

Programs are available at multiple grade levels, with opportunities to compete in leagues and tournaments and even advance to state and world competitions.

Families interested in joining for the 2025-26 season are encouraged to register before the May 17 deadline. Visit the Caledonia EnrichED Robotics page for full details and registration information. 

The Spring Scrap Metal and Pop Can Drive is just around the corner on Saturday, May 16, benefiting Caledonia Bands! Community members are invited to bring cans, bottles, and accepted scrap metal items to the Ralph E. Myers Football Stadium parking lot between 9:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. Band students will be on-site to help unload donations, making it quick and easy to support the program while cleaning out your garage or shed. Proceeds from the drive directly support Caledonia Bands programs and student opportunities.

Robotics Program for Incoming 2nd & 3rd Graders

Students are invited to explore the world of robotics through a fun, hands-on VEX GO program focused on building, coding, and problem-solving. This opportunity gives young learners the chance to work as a team while designing and programming robots to complete exciting challenges.

The program meets once a week from September through November and is designed to introduce foundational STEM skills in an engaging and supportive environment. Students will build their own robots, collaborate with peers, and apply critical thinking to solve real tasks.
